Is Melbourne Acupuncture clinical director and a registered practitioner of Acupuncture and Chinese herbal Medicine. A graduate with honours from Australia’s first TCM degree cohort he has furthered training in gynaecology, dermatology, oncology and classical formula in Liaoning and Nanjing TCM hospitals in China.

He is a lecturer and supervisor in Classical Chinese medicine in a number of tertiary institutions. As one of Melbourne’s longest serving traditional chinese medicine and Japanese Shiatsu Anmo practitioners with over 30 years full time clinical experience he is passionate about non-pharmacological therapies that have clinical and research evidence of efficacy.

Alice has been an advocate of Traditional East Asian Medicine since her youth as part of her family’s health tradition. Alice entered the health science field as a Microbiologist and furthered her interest by completing 2 further awards in TCM and Shiatsu Therapy. As practitioner of 16 years she combines therapeutic bodywork treatment with acupuncture and herbal prescribing. Her clinical focus is in women’s health, musculoskeletal pain, asthma, and stress and fatigue conditions.

Diploma of Shiatsu.

Victoria Wilson is an  AAMT accredited Remedial massage therapist of over 25 years full time practice. As the clinic’s principal massage therapist she assesses the specific needs of each client she treats. Shiatsu and cupping therapies are often incorporated in her treatments. She has over 20 years practice and training in Pilates and her patients and students experiences have instilled a practical understanding of musculoskeletal disorders. Her long clinical experience has led to her interest in the biomechanics of shoulder, joint and postural problems.

Dip Massage Therapy. Cert Pilates. Cert Nutrition.

Has a Diploma in Remedial Massage and is a certified Lymphatic Drainage therapist.

Oscar has a strong following for his thorough assessments and remedial therapy outcomes in stress/tension patterns, sports injury and relaxation style pre-natal massage. He also treats conditions of oedema and fluid retention due to organ dysfunction or following surgery.

We have 6 health programs that are designed to focus treatment and track progress using medical health surveys. Data from these health surveys are compiled to provide information about what we treat and measures the program effectiveness.

Our therapies are also highly suitable for sports injury, pain and rehabilitation as well as improving performance.

Why do we collect data?

Melbourne Acupuncture gathers and collates health care data about acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. Over the coming months our research focus is to collect and collate information on the range of conditions that our clients present with. This information can enable us to better design health programs. Data using survey instruments for pain and quality of life will soon be posted providing a snapshot of the changes experienced as treatment programs proceed.

No personal identifying information is used in our data reports. Graphs below show the percentage of health conditions as the main complaint.
